Something About the Founder

Mother Louise Watts

 

Mother Watts came to Christ in April 1952, and received the Holy Ghost on October 1952, in the Straight Life Church of God Pentecostal.

 

In 1962 she organized the Youth Choir.  She was church secretary for 14 years.  She was the Adult Sunday School teacher for 24 years, President of the Adult Choir for 10 years, served on the Usher Board, was Chairperson of the Food Committee Fundraising and Missionary Board, and also as an Executive Board Member.

 

Mother Watts was called by God to the Ministry in 1965.  She was ordained in 1976.  She did the work of a Missionary and Evangelist, visiting the sick, holding bible study in her home and eventually rented a school cafeteria for regular worship service.  She has preached in Butts county, Fayetteville Georgia and many other places.

 

Mother Watts received her Diploma from the New Life Bible College in California.

 

Mother Watts is the founder of Straight Life Tabernacle Church, started in 1992 with God's guidance.

 

Mother Watts is married to Deacon Willie Watts for over 50 years.  They have eight children, Willie Mae Montgomery, Sherrie McGirt, Peggy Perry, Margaret Ammons, Diane Eberhert, Gilda Gunn, Beverly Scott and James B. Watts and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

Mother Watts believes, "You can do all things through Christ that strengthens you"  Philippians 4:14.
